  NGO Goals

 

 

To eradicate poverty through local initiatives and build up a movement for social change. The program focuses on Health, education, women's organizations, credit and savings, vocational training, computer literacy, agriculture and enterprises

  Achievements

 

1. 30 active village health activists work in Nemili.
2. The health program has been active since 1997.
3. 7 rounds of weighings have been completed so far.
4. Makkal palli Iyakkam has been started in this block and has been running successfully.
5.There is a computer program that is active.
6. A health awareness program for adolescent girls has been introduced.

  Summary

 

Nemili is one of the oldest blocks to implement the ArogyaIyakkam. There are 30 villages actively participating in the program. Around 20 health camps have been conducted so far. In the last year, this block has been visited twice by AID volunteers.
