  NGO Goals

We undertake awareness programmes and campaigns on a range of issues affecting girls and women. These programmes address the long-term objective of changing structures and value systems which discriminate against women in our society. We also undertake activities to provide support to women for their immediate needs, such as legal aid, counselling, etc.

  Achievements

At present, we are conducting two major campaigns: one, against sex-selective abortions and two, for justice for victims of communal violence. We also provide support for women in crises, financial and other support for out-of-school girls, counselling for adolescent girls and economic and other support for women workers in the unorganised sector.

  Summary

Has run several effective long-term awareness programs, such as Campaign against Sex Determination, Sex-Selective Abortions and Sex Pre-Selection, and Campaign for Justice for Violence-Affected People Including Women in Vadodara in 2002, and conducts a variety of other activities to help women in need. Approved by our chapter in association with other AID chapters, but we are waiting for the NGO to get FCRA clearance.
