  NGO Goals

 

 

To educate, organize and (help to) agitate the various dalit communities of SCs, STs, BCs and other rural poor.
To promote self- reliance among them individually and collectively, so that they may live with dignity and fulfill their basic needs for a decent living

  Summary

 

The project work is in four mandals in the Chittoor distt. of AP and deals with the CAME volunteers maintaining close contact with the target groups in each village to be aware of various local issues that need organized intervention by the people.


Strategies and Tactics:

1. Formation of Unions of agricultural workers at village,
cluster and mandal level. Formation of women’s thrift societies.

2. To pressurize the authorities, political leaders and vested interests to do justice to the poor Dalits as per the law, through mass mobilization of the oppressed.

3. Petitioning the concerned authorities, followed by mass rallies, dharnas, hunger strikes and moving the courts if necessary.
