  Summary

 

History:
AID first established contact with ANANDI via Gautam Desai for Gujarat 2001 earthquake relief work.

Support work:
Proposal was received for EQ relief by AID Gujarat TaskForce with AID Bay Area coordinating the project. Delays in review resulted in a new proposal for drought relief work that was finally support by AID Bay Area chapter in March 2002. (Coordinators: Aradhana Janga and Prema Sampath). Completed Nov 2002. Report received in Feb 2003. (Bay Area chapter project)

AID also recieved proposal for relief work by ANANDI in Panchmahal district relief camps for victims of Gujarat pogroms in March 2002. AID approved funds which were used as partial funds to reconstruct home for
