  NGO Goals

This trust will mobilise professionals to support people`s initiatives that are attempting to protect the livelihoods of urban and rural poor.

  Achievements

As a first move the trust has started a shop to provide marketing support to these groups. The shop named *Chaukhat* is located at 208, Jaipuria Plaza, Sector 26, NOIDA.

  Summary

The trust is being formed by a group of concerned citizens who associate themselves with various types of people`s movements. Their experience with these movements has shown that the key constraints faced by these initiatives are the lack of appropriate marketing linkages, weak or no access to design and technology modernisation backup, and limited access to credit. This crucial gap is preventing the nation from taking full advantage of the people`s knowledge and capabilities that can produce goods that feed into and are compatible with the idea of sustainable people-oriented development. The formation of public trust is one step in the direction of filling these gaps.
