  NGO Goals

 

 

To serve the patients of the society’s already operating Netaji Eye Hospital and the local village population. It aims at provide secondary level education as well as vocational training related to the operation of the hospital.

  Achievements

 

VKART Society is running a 250 bed eye hospital, the Netaji Eye Hospital which has an average of 500-700 daily out-patients from bordering areas of Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal. 75% of the total 24000 patients from the extremely poor economic background received free eye surgery in 2003-2004. Every year it treats 20000 patients through around 100 out-reach camps.

  Summary

 

The organization is aiming at benefiting the local people and efficiently continuing the services of the Hospital, by providing both formal and vocational education to the poor villagers. This will improve the literacy, and will meet the staff requirement of the Hospital by recruiting trained locals. The trained people will also serve as the paramedics.
