The Jeevan Saathi program began in 1998 as a fellowship program to enable and encourage AID volunteers return to India. AID Jeevan Saathis make a commitment to work on development issues, being part of AID's network in India, and opening up new directions for AID to explore. The Jeevan Saathis provide guidance to volunteers in the US, as they experience our development efforts first-hand.
