The organization is presently working in Dhenkanal and Angul districts of Orissa. And within Dhenkanal district it has initiated various rural development activities in Kadua, Mahulpal, Kusumjodi and Baruna panchayats covering 25 villages

  Summary

 

ALOKA was founded on 26th August 1995 as a registered voluntary organisation having intensive folk culture and socio-economic working experience in the villages and backward communities. This is a non-profit making social organization.

TARGETED RESULTS
Awareness of problems faced; knowledge gained regarding facilities/services/schemes/programs/ of the Government.
Creation of 8 women groups and village-level organizations.
14 trained women and men will continue the activities after project ends.
Availability of 7 Trained Birth Attendants (TBA) for safe child delivery.
20 vocationally trained persons to continue programs.
200 poor families will earn Rs.1000-2000 p.a. from vegetable cultivation; nutrition will be supplemented.
