1. Campaign for Human and Environment Justice against the proposed destructive Gundya dam in Hassan dt, Karnataka.
2. Campaign for conservation of Western Ghats with Karnataka focus.

  Achievements

 

1. Working to stop the Gundya dam in Hasan dt of Karnataka. The NGO has been working relentlessly in organising local people against this proposed destructive dam.
2. Working to conserve the last remaining rain forests of Western Ghats in Karnataka.
3. The efforts of MJHS has been a major force in preventing the destructive, illplanned, unsustainable gundya hep from coming up in virgin weste more...

  Summary

 

1. With our association with AID, the NGO is hoping to get more support for our western ghats protection efforts.
2. AID bay area chapter has been involved in helping the local struggle against the proposed Athirapally dam and as such AID bay area is trying to focus more on western ghats and see how it can work in this area in an more organised manner.
