  Achievements

 

Key achievements include creating a strong local network with local people and government officials in the Mathurapur district.

They have successfully carried out awareness campaigns for AIDS, womens rights, health issues.

They have also implemented irrigation projects, health care projects and education projects.

  Summary

 

Voluntary social service organization established in 1979 in West Bengal

General objective is to help weaker section of society to get organized and become aware of their rights so they can develop at par with the rest of the society.

Following activities were verified by AID site visit:
Borewell installation in Bhadrapara village (at a cost of Rs.80,000 funded by CAPART)
Formation of SHG in Mahamaya village

Currently being funded by AID Kolkata:
- Clinic in Kobati village where doctor visits once a week and trained health work follows-up on patients condition (photos available at AID Kolkata website).
