Snehibhavan Home for Girls

  Achievements

Snehibhavan home, providing both sustenance and metaphor for the large family of children housed there.

  Summary

Women’s Estate, located along the backwaters of the Kottayam district, is a room for women to call their own—in which they can read, discuss, and learn about themselves and about the experiences of women all over the world. Research in Women’s Studies, discussions on feminism and women’s personal and political issues, lecture series, the presentation of papers and book reviewing are major activities undertaken in Women’s Estate. Maintaining close links with the activities of other feminist and human rights organizations, like Snehibhavan, is also a priority.
