  Summary

Parijat Academy was founded by Uttam Teron, who after graduating from college used some of his money (which he earned by providing private tuition) to start this school. The area where the school is located has a number of stone quarries, and it was a very common sight to see chikdren of the stone quarry workers to be playing around the quarry. Uttam Teron by opening this school, has ensured that almost all the children of these daily wage earners can be provided free education.

In addition to education, Parijat Academy also strives to work closely with the local community in its development. In this effort , Parijat Academy would like to use the school to provide for vocational training like TV repair, handloom training and also adult education.
