  NGO Goals



1. Iissue of livelihood, education, gender issues, and community empowerment of these traditional hunting nomads ('Phasepardhi' community ) in Akola and Washim districts of Vidarbha region.

2. Conservation of the grasslands to save endangered Bird species



1. Kaustubh PAndharipande is an Ashoka Fellow.

2. Lobbied for the Nomadic Community and their rights towards the government of India. With the efforts of Samvedana GOI considered the uliftment of the community all over India, by setting aside huge sum for the related Goverment projects. This is the first ever recognition for this community.

Samvedana is working on three thematic areas

1. Participatory studies and documentation
2. empowerment
3. advocacy and lobbing

presently we are working with the support of Econet a pune based support organization on the project 'fighting discrimination' which is supported by Swiss development corporation (our annual budget in this project is about 3 lakh Indian rupees per year) this project was end in July 2007

additionally we have received grant sanction letter from Oxfam Australia for next one year (budget is 2 lakh rupees) this project will starts from September 2007

actually I am planning to undertake several activities in near future some of them are following
