  NGO Goals

 

 

1) Enhancing production of food, fodder, fuel etc. through training, demonstrations and collaborative field trials on sustainable utilisation of natural resources.

2) Establishing market linkages through consumer awareness for the organic growers.

3) Assisting rural communities to conserve and regenerate common properly resources like grazing lands, ponds & wetlands, roadside & canal bank/riverbank areas, permanent fallows etc. more...

  Achievements

 

1) Design and develop integrated home garden
2) Encourage locally suitable crop & agriculture practice
3) Discourage mono-cropping, overuse of synthetic fertilizers and any use of chemical pesticide.
4) Work with landless families and small peasants with special focus on women and tribal communities in ecologically marginalized areas.
5) Help by training communities to map all land and more...

  Summary

 

DRCSC is a non-government development organization working in 12 districts of West Bengal and other states. Their major concern is food and livelihood security of the rural poor through sustainable management of natural resources on the basis of principles and actions, that are environment friendly, economically appropriate, socially just and developed by mutual cooperation.
