BIRD is a non political, non- profitable, secular Non Governmental Organization (NGO) registered in the year 1989 under the society registration act of 1860. BIRD complies with all statutory requirements. BIRD is focusing on building capacities of poor and marginalized sections and nurturing their leadership qualities and connect them for ensuring holistic Development in 205 villages of Prakasam district. BIRD has initiated development interventions through sensitizing, mobilizing and organizing Poor Dalit Women and other including most vulnerable sections with helping them to fight poverty, caste and disability based discrimination, Gender iniquity, domestic violence, issues of child labour, issues of PWDs, different forms of Migration rampant in the District.
