  Summary

 

Aajeevika Bureau is a specialised initiative which was formed to provide services, support and security to rural seasonal migrant workers. Its vision is to promote “secure and dignified lives of communities dependent on migration and labour”. Established in 2005, the Bureau operates mainly in southern Rajasthan from where the rural population migrates in large numbers to economically prosperous parts of the neighboring states of Gujarat, Maharashtra and beyond. The Bureau provides a range of services to rural migrants –registration, photo ID, skill training, placement, legal aid, financial inclusion assistance and collectivization – in order to further their quest towards successful and stable livelihoods.
