  NGO Goals

Writing the book 'Taking Sides' in language that can be digested by the common health worker in the district level committees. The original book was used widely during the PHA health campaign.

  Achievements

The proposal is for printing the book 'Taking Sides'. The book looks at the problems faced by community health workers and will serve as a guidebook for community health workers. The book will be published by TNSF.

  Summary

The book will be published by TNSF and will be sold at a small margin (which will cover the cost of distribution, stocking, losses, etc). The idea is to reach the book out to all the blocks and districts interested in community health. The PHA network will be useful in this regard. Profits from the book (if any) will be used to either re-publish this or other materials useful foir our projects or will be used to support the community health programmes TNSF is involved in. Since a number of states have started work on the Hundred Block Plan - we want to prepare good quality materials that at least the leaders can read and use in their work so that it provides an overall perspective and direction to the programme. A few copies of this book should also be read by AID volunteers who are i more...
