  Achievements

Currently we are running 5 computer centers at different location. One center is running at Swami Vivekananda Vidyalaya, Lodhar, Mandhana. This school is run by Jagriti Bal Vikas Samiti and other centers are running independently in different location. More than 900 students passed out from all the computer centers till Dec 2008. Around 130 students are learning computers in different computer centers through our computer education program. Due to frequent power cuts in the villages we mostly rely on inverters for power backup but still we try to provide as much as practical training to the students. Total passed out students: 1000 Under graduates + schooling: 600 Graduates: 300 20% of the total graduate students absorbed in different kind of computer related jobs. We are offering two types of courses to the students: 1) Computer fundamentals and MS-Office with FrontPage 2) Advance courses a. Corel Draw, Flash animation, Adobe photoshop b. Accounting with Tally c. Web designing d. Programming in C++ & Java 3) Short term course on internet technologies. DETAILS OF CURRENTLY RUNNING COMPUTER CENTERS: 1. Amiliha Computer Center: Amiliah is our NODAL center. This computer center is situated about 10 km. far from IIT, Kanpur. This computer center was started on Feb. 2005. More than 600 students passed out from this computer center till Dec. 2008. 14th batch is going on and around 70 students are learning computers. There are eight laptops and five Desktops available in the computer center with three inverters for power backup which runs the computers for a whole day. We expanded this computer center to provide better and improved facilities like internet access on all computers and we can accommodate 30-40 students in a single batch at one time. Now we have 8 laptops and 5 desktops with TFT monitors so that students can get more and more practical knowledge. Also we introduced professional courses like Flash animation and Java programming language. 2. Swami Vivekananda Vidyalaya, Lodhar Computer Center: This computer center is situated about 3 km. far from IITK. This center was started on March 2006 at Swami Vivekananda Vidyalay, Lodhar, Mandhana (school run by Jagriti Bal Vikas Samiti). Currently 25 students are learning computer course including school students in this computer center.
