The project consists of:
1. Constructing and running 8 motivational centres for 2 to 3 years to cater to the children in the 11 villages. These centres will help children in the age group 5-15 subsequently join the mainstream schooling process.
2. Motivating the community members to ensure that everyone sees the benefit of their children being educated and encourage parents to persist in educating their children.

This project will ensure that the Irula culture and knowledge base is not lost. The education in the centres set-up by Bharathi Trust will address this issue.
The project is expected to reach completion in about 3 years when children start attending government schools regularly. This time frame is based on past experience in similar projects.

To help the Irula children in the 11 villages to become part of mainstream schooling system via motivational centres/transitional schools.
