Nity 2011 Saathiship is a continuation of his work in 2010 which has been summarized in goals and achievements section below.





- Prevented sub-standard clean-up of contaminated site in Kodaikanal, Tamilnadu, and have initiated a process for state-of-the-art clean-up. - Continuous work in South Tamilnadu resulting in more confidence amongst the impacted people of pollution. - Used RTI to support legal challenge against megapolluter in south Tamil Nadu. - Compiled and analysed RTI documents pertaining to lopsided, anti-poor urbanisation plans along Chennai''s coasts. - Launched a "Go Local" campaign in a city college, aimed at educating and inspiring youngsters to undertake composting, local vegi-culture, and public transportation campaigns. - Assisted residents near Pallikaranai garbage dumpyard in their successful attempt to stall a project proposal that would have facilitated the continued dumping of garbage in the wetland for the next 30 years.





- Ongoing work in Kodaikanal, Tamilnadu - Ongoing work with legal support for compensation and health care of affected workers in Kodaikanal. - Ongoing work in South Tamil Nadu on pollution/community related issues. - Ongoing legal support for Mettur farmers in claims for compensation for pollution-related damages. - Ongoing support for community struggles in Chennai on the issue of garbage, and construction of elevated expressways. - Working with youth to educate and encourage them to play an active and informed role in influencing policy at various levels, including within institutions, at city-level and national/international.
