  Summary

A group of Indian students have been instrumental in initiating this scholarship (circle of interest) Fund. Three of these girls have decided to send US $ 50 per month for this purpose. They are also requesting their other friends to support the cause. We have devised a scholarship fund for the girls from the peripheral villages in Mulshi region. The needy and deserving girl students will be supported under this scheme for their XI and XII std education. The support would cover tuition fee, books notebooks, and to and fro bus fare from home to college and back. Many other individuals (Dr Archik Rashmi, Anita Ganapathi) have also contributed to this fund. Thus taking the fund to Rs.94,166.

  Achievements

Last year we supported six students. with Rs. 22,168. (Each student has been supported with Rs. 4,000 (approx)).

  Goals

This year we would be increasing the number of scholars. In addition, we plan in conducting some bi monthly lectures for the girls on topics that are relevant for their future growth, like, career planning, life skill development, personality development, etc. We are planning to provide earn while you learn scheme with these students, so that they earn and raise sufficient funds for their to and fro bus fare.
