The funds will support Manju Menons work from April 1 - Dec 31, 2011. She will be working on CAMPA, Green Tribunal, CRZs, NEPA/NEAMA and other environmental issues.

 
 

  Achievements

 

 

As an experienced and senior member of Kalpavriksha, Manju has been a part of several Environment Compliance commissions and committees like most recently, UNDPís Post-Tsunami Environment Initiative undertaken by Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE), Bangalore. She has conducted several field trips throughout India. She has authored several published articles alongwith Kanchi Kohli, reports and articles in the press. She is the main person working on the previous projects that Austin has funded with Kalpavriksha.

 

  Goals

 

 

Saathiship for Manju Menon who is a member of the Kalpavriksh environment action group, Pune/Delhi, since 2000. She will be conducting several research projects to study environmental law and policy formulation, implementation and compliance. A specific area of interest will be understanding the environmental decision-making process for infrastructure and development projects like the CAMPA, NEPA acts that are currently being revised.
