Most village situations are rather dark after sunset. There are few lights which are inadequate for studying, for reading, for cooking, for toilet and cleaning needs and certainly for agricultural tasks. This situation causes burns, accidents, snake bites and scorpion stings. Health workers and birth attendants also need light to perform their duties after sunset. Providing solar lamps at subsidized prices will mitigate the situation.

Trying out for the first time this year. Few lamps in Bahmni and other mobiles, have been extremely useful.

Offer solar lamps at subsidized prices to village workers, birth attendants, sub centers and some village persons to avoid incidents due to lack of light after sunset. Also serve as model for other villagers and in case banks need to be approached in future for subsidy or loan for the same
