Vidyarambam is a pre-school education project for the kids in the age group 3 to 6 years.Started during June 2002, it has now cuurently 196 learning centers Students are selected from economically backward and illiterate families in villages of Tamil Nadu. Each center is identified by an explorer and a tutor from the same village is appointed and the progress is periodically assessed. Children are taught basic alphabets in Tamil and English and also introduced to basic arithmetic. Towards the end of the course rhymes and simple words are also taught.
The operations are well organized by a board of trustees consisting of six members and an advisory committee decides the syllbus and the teaching aid materials.





The NGO has expanded its learning centers to cover around 300 villages around a very short span. By June 2003, 507 students have passed and 467 joined school.





Aim is to provide pre-school education for underpriviledged children thereby motivating them about learning and continuing education.
