- The NGO uses a special curriculum "Sanjukta" targeted for non-school going and dropout students. They established bridge courses where these students are trained and mainstreamed into local, formal schools.
- The teachers and other volunteers are drawn from the local community.
- Sensitize the community on the importance of education.
- Local self governments like Panchayat, villagers and especially parents are involved in steps towards improving the village schools.





- 367 students in total , 78 from centers run by AID-Columbus mainstreamed by early 2011. - 4 bridge centers established and running with support of AID-Columbus. - Balmela ( annual sports event), exposure trips, art and drawing promotion and other child centered activities organized. - Village Education Committees revitalized and Special help Group members trained.





-Within a period of three years(starting 2009) schools in the targeted villages will be made functional . 300 Non-School going and dropout children in the age group of 5-12 years will have improved education standards and mainstreamed into formal schools.
