Children performing during Reva 2011 childrens festival

  Summary

Reva, the annual cultural fest by AID Patna ( Patna Chapter of AID India), aims to provide a platform for the children of marginalized section of society, to enable them to showcase their latent talent and to ensure their all round development.

Started in 2010, Reva 2010 saw unparalleled success with participation by over 100 kids from the neighboring slum areas of BIT Patna. With events like Dramatics, Dance, Songs, Recitations and a movie screening , it was a highly enriching and enjoyable experience for the kids, and was deeply lauded by one and all.

The event was organized by over 50 volunteers who worked relentlessly to make this event a grand success. It was marked by the presence of Staff and Students of BIT Patna & nearby colleges and the residents of the community.
Reva inculcated the spirit of education among kids and parents alike!

  Achievements

Through REVA, AID-Bihar provides a stage to the underprivileged children and students of various government schools to showcase their talent in different fields.

  Goals

REVA 2012 aims to be bigger and better, encouraged by the feedback of our generous supporters. It shall be a two days event, each day having a different theme. This year REVA shall enjoy the participation of the neighboring children from the orphanages too. We shall look forward to thunderous claps that follow for each wonderful performance of our little masters in all fields. The deserving masters shall be taking away trophies and medals in turn encouraging other little souls/members of our family. These little mischief makers in REVA leave us in awe. Truly what our loving Chacha Nehru said was true: Todays children are tomorrows future.
