  Summary

The Eureka SuperKidz Project provides innovative, village centered education centers in marginalized regions of TN, with the goal of delivering quality education to the children of the poorest of families. This program has a strong focus on quality content/curriculum, teacher training, evaluation outcomes, co-curricular enrichment activities, individualized attention to each student and parental involvement.

  Achievements

Eureka SuperKidz program was launched in 200 villages in July 2010, scaled up to in 717 villages reaching 35,000 children by April 2011. An external evaluation agency (NCIS) evaluated the impact of SuperKidz program on Math, Tamil and English skills over the course of a year. Evaluation conducted in 30 villages, covering 3268 children from pre-school till Std 6. Large improvement indicated from the baseline in all standards. For Std 1-2, improvements fell short of aspirational targets, highlighting the need for a sharper focus on Std 1-2 in the coming year.
