AHRM and Janpath have teamed up to ensure the vital needs of Agariya salt-worker communities, mainly located in the Little Rann of Kutch, are met. These needs range from urgent health care to long-term political advocacy. In 2012, AHRM is seeking both immediate and sustainable solutions for the heath and livelihood of the Agariya community. In particular, AHRM is seeking AID-Blacksburg support for a solar lights project and for the necessary medical ointments for salt-laborers working in harsh conditions.

AID-Blacksburg will contribute $3500.00 for 2012 which will be split among the Solar Light and Ointment Health project to support 450 500 families who will receive these items
