Project proposed by PSA for an anti-toxics campaign.

First year

Assist ongoing struggles against pollution in the Southern region with media, scientific and legal advocacy. Generate and distribute relevant information about toxic pollution, pollutants and polluters to communities. Work among youth to sensitise them about the dangers of ill-planned industrialisation, and help them explore alternative models of economies that are non-exploitative of nature and human beings. Work to highlight the linkages between pollution, environmental injustices and the forces of corporate globalisation. Assist groups working to end centralised garbage management systems, and bring in its place progressive discard management practices built on the principles of zero waste. Mobilise solidarity to environmental justice struggles around the country.
