Area Background of the proposed project:
East Bengalee community who were driven out from their native land during division of joint Bengla in the
year 1946 - 47 due to religious reason, mainly populates eastern part of Murshidabad district. Later they
settled at different parts of West Bengal where population density is less and scope of livelihood is present.
Naturally those points of living were newly created and government facilities were far behind at those
places because those points were not at the first preference for living for the existing population at that time.
Gradually infrastructure and communication facilities developed and yet education facilities are not so
sufficient to cover every child. Child rights issues are frequently getting violated over there as many cross
border issues are paralleled linked with administration. As a supportive solution and creating permanent
substitute Mandra Lions Club likes to start intervention at the following blocks.

1. The Project is running for last 5 years. 2. 217 students linked to mainstream education 3. Visit their families for follow up and link their families with government schemes 4. Parents are much more interested in kidsí education

1. Provide Pre-primary level education 2. Start 9 schools in 3 districts 3. Enroll them with primary schools 4. To develop locally suitable educational curriculum 5. To build some model educational system and replication of ideas
