-Sustainably and organically growing paddy field

AID started working with the farmers in Sunderbans after Cyclone Aila in 2009. Revathi trained farmers in methods of sustainable organic agriculture. Over the years, farmers have become trainers and are training others in their villages.

1) AID had started working with 25 farmers in 2009. Today there are 3000 farmers as part of the sustainable agri movement. 2) Women have taken a leading role in spreading sustainable organic methods. 3) It has created a buzz in the region and more and more people are wanting to take up these practices

To facilitate the taking up of sustainable agriculture by the farmers of Sunderbnans.
