  Summary

Over 2 lakh refugees fleeing from the violence in lower Assam are housed in relief camps with very limited provisions from the central and state governments. There is an urgent need for the provision of relief to the families, including children whose lives, education and livelihoods have been disrupted. In a very small initiative, humanist young people have decided to work together for relief and reconciliation.

  Achievements

Joint teams from both the Bodo and Muslim communities are going to the camps and assessing the needs.

  Goals

Provide relief to the refugees who have fled from the violence in lower Assam and initiate a process of reconciliation between the Bodo and the Bengali Muslim communities.
