Eureka Superkidz is a grassroots education initiative started by Balaji Sampath as an AID Chennai flagship program. The Management team comprises alumni of IIT, BITS, IIMA and field people. Eureka SuperKidz is an after school education center run in 626 villages. In each village,there are 2 Eureka Centers for children in Std. 1-3 and Std. 4-6. There are 2 Eureka Teachers per village, 1 expert teacher for 5 villages and 1 project manager for 20 to 25 villages.





1. Parentís involvement central to childís education and accountability 2. There is greater access to lots of interesting materials which has been identified as the key to childís learning 3. There is a stronger focus on outcomes via a student-specific skill chart 4. Eureka SuperKidz reached more than 650 villages in Tamil Nadu.





1. The Main goal of the Eureka Superkidz program is to improve quality of education in Tamil Nadu. The ASER Report shows that 65 % of the children in standard 3 to 5 cannot read a simple story in tamil and cannot do 2 digit subtraction. 2. Eureka Superkidz is seen as a large scale demonstration of improving quality of education in 1000 villages of Tamil Nadu.
