Goals and achievements of the project (developed over the years):
Developing low external input farming skills
livelihood and food security for women (farms labourers)
better implementation of MGNREGA, NRLM, watershed development

Project in collaboration of AID Bangalore and Green Foundation

MG Halli Ravi has been instrumental in making most of this possible by mobilizing farmers. The efforts are aimed towards their goals which are: Increasing awareness amongst small and marginal farmers regarding the various govt. programs that can be implemented in their village Assisting and monitoring the implementation such that the benefits reach the right people Working with various departmental officials to increase the effectiveness of their service delivery.

In Chinthamani: -we will try to strengthen the NREGA labourers unions, train them and build their capacity so that they can move forward in future on their own in the 5 panchayats (may extend to 3 more Panchayats). -We will involve in the planning of NREGA works and make sure that useful community assets are created. -We will try to stabilize the farmersí groups in all the villages and encourage them to shift to sustainable farming. In Magadi: -We will monitor the on-going watershed development program (with more important works to come in the next 4 years). -We will move towards forming more groups of farmers in neighbouring villages.
