  Summary

AID has been working with Aranyika for last four years. One of the major concept they believe is to involve people and youth in all the development activities of their village/area (Manavta Kendras). They have been working for that concept. They are organising youth in the villages. They are involving them in several village development activities like clean and green of their village and also educating them about their social responsibility. Besides this they are also giving assistance to the villagers when ever they need guidance/help such as in health problems, any issues with government officials etc. And they give their time to village panchayaths where people sit to solve their problems/clashes. They participate in panchayaths. On the whole they have been living with the people together to solve their problems in a holistic manner without having project oriented thinking in the mind. This helped them to build credibility and trust from the people. As a result they helped them in repairing a check dam, develop civic bodies, help water user committees etc.

This proposal is seeking help from AID to sustain the core support along with funding for training and income generation activities.
