In India most of the people with disabilities live in rural areas, whereas a majority of the services are available only in urban areas. In order to provide community based rehabilitation services to all persons with disabilities, there is a need for inclusive development approach.
In order to ensure rehabilitation services reach all, there is a need to review the existing practices in CBR service delivery and explore new approaches.

To achieve the stated objectives, SRMAB had extensively networked with MOB, Sumanahalli Leprosy Rehabilitation center and existing Government departments viz: Disabled welfare department, District disabled rehabilitation center, Red Cross, and many local Organizations & Welfare clubs.

SRMAB diversified its service delivery model from institution based to community based to ensure the reach to larger beneficiaries. The aim is to sustain, support & monitor the CBR movement which was built on social inclusion, empowerment of PWDs and their families on equal rights based approach and accessible social environment.
