To support the ecologically sensitive area work in western ghats.





1. Initial report done. 2. Work with various levels in State and central started. 3. Work with ground level stakeholders getting deepened. 4. Goal towards effective ESA activity proceeding at good pace with the target of achieving the results in 2014/2015.





1. Ensure that the report of the Western Ghats Ecology Expert Panel is in the public domain. 2. Advocacy campaign for acceptance and implementation of the report of the Western Ghats Ecology Expert Panel by the Ministry of Environment and Forests. 3. Work with NGOs and movements to identify and delineate at least two ecologically sensitive areas in the Western Ghats. 4. Advocacy campaign for amendments to the Environment Impact Assessment notification.
