The Society for the Education of the Crippled (Child and Adult) or SEC has been building up expertise in the care and education of the orthopedically challenged children and adults. They have been in existence for the past 45 years.
Tehmina Barma Center for Independent Living rural unit of the Society for the Education of the Crippled, a residential school, a vocational training center for the severely handicapped, to enable them to become self -sufficient and earn their own livelihood.
At present they are having 75 children in our residential unit out of which 8 children are sponsored while 67 children need sponsorship.
We (AID Dallas chapter) are planning to support 11 children.





We are continuing support 11 children. Support includes physical rehabilitation, lodging & boarding, school fees, school stationary, uniforms, shoes, physiotherapy, transport, extracurricular activities, medical camps. We are planning to have continuous communication with SEC authority this year and try to engage them with similar kind NGOs and other AID chapters; we are also looking for a sponsor who can help build new school.





11 children supported last year made pretty good progress over the year. Detailed information about progress and site visit report is attached
