Encourage theatre and plays. example: Punjab Lok Rahs (Punjab Peoples'''''''''''''''' Theatre) from Lahore, Pakistan successfully toured state of Maharashtra, India between November 18 and 25. They performed play '''''''''''''''' Sidq'''''''''''''''' (the truth) on Bhagat Singh and Freedom Struggle in Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad and Nagpur. They were in maharashtra at the invitation of Pakistan India Peoples'''''''''''''''' Forum For Peace and Democracy (PIPFPD). in pune, it was organised with Masum. 3. Press Conference cum Film Makers and various Cultural/ Social organisations of Mumbai has organised Protest Meet on Wednesday 20th October, 2004 at 6: 30p.m. at Press Club, Near Azad Maidan, V.T., Mumbai to demand lifting ban on “Chords on the Ritcher Scale”, a 45 minutes documentary on Kutch Earthquake 2001. The Film was banned during NDA Government rule and when Anupam Kher was Chairperson of Censor Board. 4. August 30, 2004.





Following are the goals of the IndoPak Fellowship : 1. Cross-border dialogue by setting up set up Exchange Groups on a regular basis, of students, media professionals, women, human rights activists, elected politicians. 2. set up a Resource Centre that will compile and make available all kinds of non-governmental information from across the border. That is, the India Resource Centre will offer data, information and contacts in Pakistan while the Pakistan Resource Centre based in India will offer similar information to Indians. 3. As part of the long-term confidence-sharing mechanisms, this group could undertake to examine history, at least the shared history, arrive at consensus on contentious portions of this history. It could also undertake heritage and conservation work on both sides of the border, because the past is after all a shared past and needs to be preserved for people of both nations. 4. Help strengthen the Maharashtra - Mumbai activism connections AND the many different rural & urban progressive groups ranging from sarvodaya to trade unions.
