  Summary

AID MN Approved the TPNallur project as part of continuing the reconstruction efforts after the Tsunami. The project was proposed by an AID Saathi- Revathy for the reclaiming of salinated farmland in the TPNallur village in Nagapatinam district, Tamil Nadu. The villagers are facing loss of livelihood due to salination and contamination of farmlands. The proposal requests funding for logistical support for a portion of an otherwise bigger effort. Please refer to the attached documentation for more details.

In this case they are looking at a short term target: 6 months and are targetting generating awareness/confidence in their approach among villagers. Hence most of the funding from AID MN helps advocacy.
Part of the project being funded by AID:
Organic Pot: Rs 60,000
Jeep: Rs. 3,00,000
Projector Rs. 60,000
