The Eureka model school is part of AID-Chennais HBP effort in Vembakkam block, Tiruvannamalai. The school aims at using innovative teaching techniques to make education fun for children in poorer sections of the society where drop-out rates are high.

The proposal has two components infrastructure and corpus for running costs. The Phase 1 covering infrastructure costs is currently being reviewed by AID-Atlanta and AID-Tempe chapters.

The purpose of the school is to demonstrate a successful model for what an ideal school can be which is both fun and ensures a lot of learning for children. The Eureka School promises to do this. In addition, the school will actively work towards ensuring that government school quality improves for ultimately it is only a significant improvement in government schools that can ensure that quality education for all reaches the poorest children.
