Proposal for small rural computer centers that could be used for imparting computer-related literacy and skills to the local youth even as the computers could be used to maintain databases pertaining to locally valued information like irrigation pattern, pest control, soil patterns and suitability for crops etc., as well as to support community health activity by computerizng all the health records.





Sundar Balasuriyan from AID-Boston and others subsequently took up this idea and collected and delivered a number of computer kits that were assembled, accesorized and deployed in many TNSF sponsored centers across Tamilnadu.





To equip Village Information Centers (ganini centers) across Tamilnadu with computers
