Bharathi Trust is an organization that works on the empowerment of the Irula Tribals. Over the years they have helped in the formation of a peoples movement (Sarpam) in the grassroots. The organization continues to act as a catalyst in education, training, documentation and lobby network that is backed by the peoples movement it helped create. The coordinator and founder of Bharathi Trust is E. Siddamma who is a fellow of Asha for Education.

The project aims at creating a resource center for communities for primary production, primarily organic farming. The aim is to work on techniques and practices that allow for agriculture based on local and affordable resources, seeds, etc. An additional aspect of the project is to work with the children who have dropped out of school and create an alternate schooling for them.
