Immediate flood relief work in an estimated 150 households in Nindhwada village affected by the flooding.





Volunteers have been going from village to village, sometimes by foot and boat, to gather information and distribute relief packets when able. These relief packets contain foodstuffs (uncooked grain, spices, oil, etc) and various other items of use. A total of 70 packets costing Rs 1350 each were distributed in Nindwada village. At the southern bank of the river in the villages of Vagnera, Vekur, and Wadada, 160 packets costing Rs 675 were distributed. Funds for these packets were mobilized from within the Vadodara community. Materials for another 100 packets (priced at Rs 850 each, though transportation cost to the villages vary) were purchased and distributed.





Provide short term relief to flood affected villagers by providing a food packet consisting of: 10 kg rice, 10 kg sorghum flour, 1 kg tuver dal, 1 kg masoor, 1 kg masoor dal, 1 kg moong dal, 500 gms oil, 1 kg salt, 2 kg potatoes, 2 kg onions, 250 gm garlic, 200 gm turmeric, 200 gm mustard seeds, 250 gm chiles, 1 blanket, 1 mosquito net, 1 15''''''''x10'''''''' plastic tarp, 1 nylon rope, matches, candles.
