Dharna on Dec. 3 to correct irregularities in the Below Poverty Line (BPL) lists





The project will work in Bhadesar- Nimbahera region of Chittorgarh district where the proportion of dalits and tribals is very high. The project will focus on
1: Bonded labourers,
2: Land alienation of dalits and tribals.
3: Womens empowerment.

First Year Achievements 1) Freed 7 bonded laborers, 29 more in progress 2) Freed land worth 1 crore in 2005 3) 40 self help groups formed. 32 of these self help groups are women self help groups 4) Lok Shikshan Sansthan was awarded the "Bharukha Trust Award" for the best NGO in Rajasthan by the Rajasthan Chief Minister in 2005 5) 25 children were enrolled into the mainstream education 6)





The main aim of the project is to create awareness among the tribal and dalit population of Bhadesar- Nimbahera region of Chittorgarh district. In the first one year of the project, the following are the objectives: The project will identify people whose land has been illegally snatched and support them in getting their land back. The project aims to free land worth one crore rupees in the second year of work. Identifying, freeing and rehabilitating bonded labour. In the second year, the project aims to free 30 bonded labour. The project will continue to form self help groups for women in the villages for their empowerment.
