  Summary

THI is an NGO in Tamil Nadu that is working towards tribal health care development. It has set up a base hospital to provide medical care to tribal and rural areas. They educate and train local villagers as health workers/health auxiliaries who go from village to village to provide basic medical assistance. The idea of empowering the locals has worked very well since the villagers are more likely to trust them and are more open with them regarding their problems.

The proposal is to help sustain the ongoing project by assisting with doctor salaries.
