  Summary

Bhasha, literally meaning "Voice", has been started by Sahitya Akademi laureate Dr Ganesh Devy to promote Adivasi culture and create a focal point for Adivasi self-expression.

  Achievements

The Academy is home to the Museum of Sounds, to hold the tribal voice, both cultural and artistic in digitized media format. The Artists workshop proves to be a platform for practicing artists and craftsmen. The Library contains 17,000 titles detailing tribal societies, endangered languages and related sociological issues.

  Goals

The Adivasi Academy at Tejgadh, Gujarat aims to develop and preserve Adivasi culture, crafts and languages. Through the Academy, Bhasha will endeavor to build respect and understanding for Adivasi society and hence facilitate in transforming the Adivasi society into a self-serving community.
