  Summary

The project is spearheaded by Ashok Rupner who had succesfully undertaken watershed development project in the same village of Surodi earlier as well (and supported by AID).
Ashok is currently working with Mr Arvind Gupta who is known all over India as the creative toymaker. They have made many simple toys to teach science in an interactive way. They also regularly update the information about making such toys using videos and texts on their website at http://arvindguptatoys.com. All this is available for free for everyone.
Ashok wants to open a science activity center at the primary school in Surodi to teach activity and fun based science.

  Achievements

One can see the complete list of science projects that can be made available to the students in Surodi at http://arvindguptatoys.com Ashok has been working with Arvind Gupta for quite some time now and knows how to build and teach these concepts himself as well. They have already made available some basic things in the primary school (like magnets, boards etc.) at their own cost to start off with their activity based learning at a small scale.

  Goals

Make education more interactive and activity based using simple toys that explain the complex mechanism otherwise taught theoretically in the class. Students are more involved this way and learn concepts in a more applied fashion.
